ITANAGAR, Aug 10: The SBI’s regional office (RO) here has advised the bank’s customers not to share confidential details such as their card details, PIN and OTP with others as the information could be used by fraudsters.
In a press release, the RO’s assistant general manager on Friday informed that some fraudsters posing as SBI staff are calling SBI customers using mobile numbers which True Caller identifies as that of the SBI manager.
“Our esteemed customers in particular and public in general are hereby cautioned that SBI never asks for confidential information such as card details, PIN and OTP from customers. Any such call can be made only by a fraudster. Unless written communication is made by the bank, our esteemed customers are advised to ignore such calls or may confirm by visiting nearby branch only,” the AGM added.
