DEOMALI, Aug 22: The Hope Foundation, a government registered society, in collaboration with local administration conducted cleanliness drive here in Tirap district on Wednesday.
A large number of people, including representatives of local NGOs, businessmen, students, government officials and members of the public participated in it.
They reportedly collected around 30 tons of waste material from the general ground and drains in and around the town during the cleanliness drive.
Hope Foundation chairperson Komna Moidam called upon the public to keep their town neat and clean. She also appealed to the administration to put complete ban on use of plastic carry bags and bottles in and around the general ground for clean environment. Such cleanliness drive shall be carried in all parts of Deomlai town in phase manner, she added.
