AALO, Aug 23: West Siang Deputy Commissioner Sode Potom reviewed matters relating to hearing of pending cases, holding of morning meetings in offices, arrangement of vehicles for various duties, and a range of other issues during a meeting here on Wednesday.
The DC also convened a separate meeting with telecom service providers like BSNL, Airtel and Vodafone over the poor network connectivity in the district. He directed the service providers to urgently look into the problems faced by the departments and the people, saying net connectivity holds the key to effective functioning of offices.
Meanwhile, in a separate meeting on Thursday, the district administration in collaboration with the disaster management department and the fire services decided to conduct awareness campaigns at various colonies here from 27 August to 7 September.
District Disaster Management Officer Dorjee Nima appealed to the representatives from sectors, colonies and market areas to attend the awareness campaigns during which activities like fire safety measures and mock drills would be conducted. (DIPRO)
