Protect yourself from HIV, Libang advises youths

YINGKIONG, Sep 16: Health & Family Welfare Minister Alo Libang advised the youths to protect themselves from HIV/AIDS by taking preventive and precautionary measures.
HIV/AIDS can be prevented only through proper knowledge about it, the minister said after launching a multimedia campaign on HIV amid a huge gathering of around 2000 youths here on 14 September.
Quoting the common saying, “Health is wealth,” Libang advised the youths to take proper care of their health “for a healthy society and nation.”
Health Services Director Dr Moromor Lego spoke on the role that the youths can play in creating awareness on HIV/AIDS, and Arunachal Pradesh State Aids Control Society project director Dr Riken Rina briefed on the objectives of the multimedia campaign launched by the National AIDS Control Organisation in the Northeastern region for people in the age group of 15 to 29 years.
Upper Siang DMO Dr Dubom Bagra and APSACS deputy director (IEC) Tashor Pali also spoke.
