CM urges SBI to recruit local youths, conduct recruitment in capital

ITANAGAR, Sep 21: Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Friday requested the State Bank of India (SBI) to conduct clerical staff recruitment exams in Itanagar.
Interacting with an SBI team headed by Chief General Manager Sunil Kumar Tandon here, the CM also requested the SBI to recruit more indigenous youths, so that the unemployed would have job opportunities.
Pema urged the SBI to actively participate in the implementation of the CM Bunkar Yojana and the Swavalamban Yojana, and in increasing the number of beneficiaries under the Jan Dhan Yojana, the Atal Pension Yojana, and the Suraksha Bima Yojana.
He also held discussions with the SBI officials on setting up customer service points in un-banked blocks.
The bank officials assured to come back with an MoU for the Deen Dayal Swavalamban Yojana in a month’s time.
Finance Commissioner Kaling Tayeng, Finance Secretary YW Ringu, and NABARD GM Gyanendra Mani were also present at the meeting. (CMO)
