NAHARLAGUN, Sep 25: Members of the Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women-cum-Protection of Child Rights (APSCW-cum-APSCPCR) on Tuesday visited the two minor girls who were sexually abused at Helipad Colony here on Sunday.
The team, led by Member Secretary Yame Higio and member Taba Rosy, interacted with the victims and their family members during the visit.
It said “both the girls are fine now.”
The APSCW team requested the paralegal volunteer of the state legal services authority, Tadu Tony, to assist the poor families of the rape victims in matters of legal procedures under the Victim Compensation Scheme, 2011.
The commission lauded the Naharlagun police and the women police team for their prompt action and assistance.
