ITANAGAR, Oct 1: Governor BD Mishra and Chief Minister Pema Khandu have greeted the people of the state on the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on 2 October.
“Gandhi Jayanti reminds us to rededicate ourselves towards promoting amity, peace, and tolerance. It also motivates us to work enthusiastically for the progress of the nation,” the governor said in his message, and expressed hope that the occasion would inspire all to follow Gandhiji’s path of truth and nonviolence.
The CM in his message emphasized the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi and expressed optimism that while celebrating the day people would rethink the amount of violence being perpetrated the world over and rediscover the power of love and nonviolence. (Raj Bhavan and CMO)
