DOIMUKH, Oct 1: A group of land donors of Doimukh subdivision in Papum Pare district in a representation to the governor on 24 September sought to draw his attention to the rampant land encroachment on the Rajiv Gandhi University campus, and sought stringent action against the individuals and officials involved in the matter.
The RGU authority had lodged a complaint with the deputy commissioner regarding the encroachment issue, and a hearing was conducted at the DC’s court on 28 August, following which the DC gave an order to constitute a board committee to examine the matter, the donors said.
They further requested the governor to direct the DC to reconstitute the land boundary committee by involving people from the nearby villages, district officials, student unions, and stakeholders in order to re-verify and re-demarcate the boundary between the village land and the RGU campus.
