Many new districts have been created in the state. Along with other administrative officers , posts of District tourist officer and Tourist information officer are laying vacant in many districts. These are technical posts and should not be given to generalist as a additional charge for long time. Beside, tourism is one of the revenue generating departments.
Hundreds of Aruna-chalee degree/diploma holders in tourism study are sitting at home as unemployed. They have all the required qualification and ability and government should create posts for them.
Degree/diploma holders in tourism study are very upset and angry with the state government for not creating posts in spite of huge vacancies and appeal to bring out the recruitment notification before election.
