Campaign for re-enrollment of school dropouts launched

NACHO, Oct 7: A campaign titled ‘I Study’ was launched under the initiative of Upper Subansiri Deputy Commissioner Danish Ashraf during the Sarkar Aapke Dwar camp held here on Saturday, covering 35 villages.
The ‘I Study’ campaign will focus on re-enrolling those who left school at an early age due to financial or personal reasons.
The DC launched the campaign by distributing free schoolbags, instrument boxes, and certificates to eight students. Out of the eight enrolled students, four are girls, and they will be registered at their nearest schools to continue their studies.
Ashraf motivated the parents to ensure that their children continue going to school, and directed the block education officer and the teachers to monitor the progress of these students and submit reports.
The DC also directed the education officials to accord special focus to the government schools in remote circles like Nacho.
The initiative has been started in coordination with the education and the ICDS departments. The Nacho CDPO was particularly instrumental in tracing out all the dropout students. (DIPRO)
