ITANAGAR, Oct 8: The All Lower Siang District Students’ Union in a representation to the education secretary on Monday sought early constitution of a fact-finding committee, with representatives of the union as its members, to verify the materials, stationery, and documents supplied from the office of the Lower Siang DDSE, based on information gathered through the RTI Act.
The union claimed gross anomaly and violation of norms committed by the office of the Likabali DDSE while utilizing the funds sanctioned by the government.
“No quotation was obtained before purchasing of the materials as reflected in the records as per norms as well as no NIT were floated,” the union claimed.
It appealed for the fact-finding committee to initiate action within 15 days.
