PASIGHAT, Oct 11: East Siang Deputy Commissioner Tamiyo Tatak chaired a meeting of the district task force on immunization (DTFI) here on Thursday to discuss the implementation of the first round of Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI) which is scheduled to be launched on 22 October.
DMO Dr Kaling Dai briefed about the preparedness and the targets under the IMI, and informed that besides the IMI, the assigned officers and officials would also conduct “house-to-house intensified survey” on antenatal check-up for missed-out women, and prepare a micro-plan for 2018-’19.
DRCHO Dr T Gao made a PowerPoint presentation detailing the achievements and future plans of the medical department.
The DC reviewed the preparation of the micro-plan and asked the medical officers (MO) to identify the gaps and challenges in conducting routine immunization in order to prepare for better implementation of the IMI.
The DTFI should enhance the involvement and accountability of all the functionaries and stakeholders in the district to ensure full immunization, he said, and asked the MOs, paramedical staffs, ASHAs and anganwadi workers to work with missionary zeal to reach the un-reached.
Medical Superintendent Dr YR Darang, DDSE J Yirang, WCD Deputy Director Ponung Ering Angu, MOs, and others also attended the meeting. (DIPRO)
