NAHARALAGUN, Oct 11: About 150 people benefitted from a two-day ‘marriage registration-cum-legal counselling and awareness programme’ jointly organized by the Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority (APSLSA) and the Arunachal Pradesh Women Welfare Society (APWWS) as part of the 39th foundation day of the APWWS at Dree ground here from 9 October.
Legal aid lawyers, counsels, and paralegal volunteers from the APSLSA informed the womenfolk about services like free marriage registration, free legal aid for the poor and the marginalized, NALSA schemes, etc.
Legal brochures, marriage registration forms, victim compensation forms, and other information leaflets about the APSLSA and DLSAs were also distributed to the participants.
