ITANAGAR, Oct 13: Two persons have been arrested for intimidating and harassing an Itanagar Traffic warden on Saturday.
The two have been identified as Hiba Tajuk (35 Yrs) of Mowb-II, Itanagar and Hiba Changriang (28 Yrs) of Lower Potung, informed Capital Complex Superintendent of Police M Harsha Vardhan.
The SP added that the incident occurred around 11 AM on Saturday when Traffic Warden Tade Uli was managing traffic at the Division-4 Bridge here.
The accused violated the traffic warden’s instruction and when stopped by the warden, the duo started charging him.
A case has been registered with the Itanagar Police station under section 353/354/325/34 IPC.
The SP further added that strict action would be taken against those persons who harass and attack traffic wardens on duty.
