Govt officers, staff mourn death of DFO Nido

YUPIA, Oct 16: All the heads of departments, administrative officers and staff of the Papum Pare district administration deeply mourned the death of Banderdewa DFO Neelam Nido, who passed away at Doimukh on Sunday.
In a condolence meeting held at the DC’s office here, the officers and officials, led by Deputy Commissioner Dr Joram Beda and ADC(Hq) Tabang Bodung offered floral tribute to the portrait of late Nido, observed one minute silence and prayed for his eternal peace.
Expressing deep condolences, Dr Beda said his (Nido’s) passing away is not only a great loss to the family, but is a great loss for the society and state as a whole.
“He was very sincere and capable officer and his contributions to the department and society will always be remembered with great respect,” the DC said.
Later on, the DC also visited Doimukh and laid wreath at his funeral. Body of late Nido was laid to rest at the premises of his residence in Doimukh with full traditional ritual.
Family, friends, staffs and well wishers paid tearful adieu to the departed soul. (DIPRO)
