Meet on ‘Arunachal Rising Campaign’ held in Yupia, Daporijo

ITANAGAR, Oct 16: The Papum Pare district level committee meeting on the Arunachal Rising Campaign (ARC) was conducted here at the DC’s conference hall on Tuesday under the chair of Deputy Commissioner cum ARC chairman, Dr Joram Beda to discuss on effective implementation of the campaign in the district.
The Arunachal Rising Campaign is a two-month comprehensive publicity campaign of the Government of Arunachal Pradesh, which will be executed through various outreach programmes, like Jan Sampark Yatra, Chief Minister’s Youth Outreach Program, Outreach Program with urban Population and Civil Society.
Going through the guidelines of Arunachal Rising Campaign and the activities to be organised in the district, Dr Beda stressed on the need to work out details for effective interventions for successful implementation of ‘Arunachal Rising’ campaign in the district.
Referring to the Chief Minister’s Youth Outreach Programme, which will focus on participation from school and college students, he directed the DDSE to prepare the schedule of schools and colleges such that every student gets the opportunity to participate in the programme.
On matters pertaining to selection of best ASHAs, Aganwadi workers and progressive farmers, Dr Beda directed all the departments concerned to select deserving persons in each CD block.
He also emphasized to work out modalities to converge awareness programme with ongoing SVEEP programme of the election department.
ADC (Hq) cum vice chairman ARC, Tabang Bodung, and all committee members attended the programme.
At Daporijo, the first district level consultative committee meeting on the ‘Arunachal Rising Campaign for Upper Subansiri district was held here on Monday.
Addressing the members, Deputy Commissioner, Danish Ashraf urged them to put their best efforts in disseminating information about the state and central flagship programmes at the grassroots level for awareness of the people.
While briefing about the campaign, Circle Officer Yamo Tamut informed that the two-month long comprehensive publicity campaign, including interactive sessions with the chief minister,will be carried out in the district.
The members present in the meeting also deliberated on various activities to be organized in the district for success of the campaign.
Responsibilities were fixed upon members for identification of gram preraks for each CD block, best performing Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs), anganwadis and progressive farmers.
It was decided to identify the teachers to act as communicators of government programmes, resource persons from various departments and to conduct school level essay writing competition and mass media campaign in the district headquarter on the flagship programmes.
