DAPORIJO, Oct 22: Upper Subansiri Deputy Commissioner Danish Ashraf has urged the HoDs concerned of the district to prepare a meticulous action plan under the Chief Minister’s Sashakt Kisan Yojana (CMSKY).
Addressing the preliminary meeting of the District Agriculture Development Society here on Monday, the DC asked the HoDs to take into account the “marketing opportunity, needs, income generation, and agro-climatic zones of the district” while preparing the action plan, in order to double the farmers’ income by 2022.
HQ ADO Moji Kamduk highlighted the aims and objectives of the scheme, while DHO Gida Murtem, DVO Dr Dol Murtem, and others present at the meeting offered suggestions for better implementation of the scheme.
It was decided during the meeting that selection of beneficiaries under the scheme would be made in consultation with the DC, so that the benefits reach the needy farmers.
The DDA, the DHO, and the DVO were asked to form a farmers-producers organization each under the Chief Minister’s Krishi Samuh Yojana for speedy implementation of the scheme.
All the departments concerned were asked to submit their action plan on or before 25 October.
The meeting was attended by the heads of agriculture and allied departments.
