GOHPUR, Oct 23: Following the directive of the capital complex deputy commissioner, the Agricultural Produce Marketing Committee (APMC) has started regulating the prices of agriculture and allied commodities (meat, fruits, and vegetables) at the APMC market here since Tuesday.
DC Prince Dhawan informed that the step has been taken following public complaints about exorbitant prices, fixed randomly by the sellers, causing inconvenience to the buyers.
“Now the items will be sold at a uniform rate for the convenience of the public,” Dhawan said.
He informed that the APMC is working on regulating the prices of the retail market in the capital complex.
Member secretary Dolang Akom informed that two separate retail price lists/regulations have been displayed for the customers visiting the market. (DIPRO)
