DPVB student tops talent hunt exam

PASIGHAT, Nov 1: Joseph Tayeng, a class 11 (arts) student of Donyi Polo Vidhya Bhawan (DPVB), Itanagar, secured the first position in the state level talent hunt exam, ‘Transforming education awards – Knowledge brainstorm – 2018’ conducted by Lovely Professional University (LPU), Punjab, recently.
A resident of Pasighat in East Siang district, Tayeng received the award comprising cash prize of Rs 25,000, a gold medal and certificate, besides a one-time study grant of Rs 1,00,000, or Rs 50,000 per semester, if he chooses to study at LPU.
Tayeng has been a meritorious student all along. Nurturing the dream to become an entrepreneur, he now wishes to pursue BBA and MBA.
His father, Sukumar Tayeng, informed that the talent search examination is a scholarship programme to identify and recognize students with high intellect and academic talent.
East Siang DC Tamiyo Tatak also congratulated Joseph and wished him a brilliant career ahead. (DIPRO)
