Rebia calls for public-friendly policing

Rebia was addressing police personnel and trainees during the final round of the APP’s athletic and firing competitions at the Police Training Centre (PTC) here.
“In case of any law and order problems, the police personnel can manage the situation efficiently if they are public-friendly and sincere in their duty,” the minister said.
Home Minister Kumar Waii in his address enumerated the developmental schemes, projects and reform
measures undertaken by the home department, and Director General of Police SBK Singh urged the police personnel to be disciplined.
“The competitive events among the personnel are conducted to improve their efficiency and boost their morale,” the DGP said, adding that such events would be held every year.
