ADC headquarters demanded

ITANAGAR, Nov 10: The ADC HQ Demand Committee at Puchi-Geko has urged the state government to create an independent ADC headquarters in Puchi-Geko circle of Kamle district in the interest of the people, and for administrative convenience.
In a representation to the chief minister’s office, the committee said the people of the upper belt of Kamle are facing inconvenience and hardship because of the distance to district HQ Raga.
“Raga district headquarters is far away from the circle headquarters, making it hard for the people in every sector, including health and education,” the committee stated in its representation.
Claiming that there is consensus among the people for creating an ADC HQ in Puchi-Geko, it said Puchi-Geko is the oldest circle headquarters in entire Kamle district, having been established in 1990 and upgraded to EAC HQ in 2013.
The committee argued that the circle headquarters is located along the Trans-Arunachal Highway and has the infrastructure required for establishing an independent ADC HQ.
All the line departments, along with health centres, education and telecommunication are functioning smoothly in the circle, it said.
