Dear Editor,
I would like highlight a few controversial questions in recently conducted APPSCCE Mains 2018 (on 11/11/18).
In GS-II in Indian Geography section Q1 (b), there was a question on “Koppen’s scheme of classification of climate” for 10 marks. Koppen’s classification of climate is related to world climatic condition.
How can it be asked in Indian Geography or Indian climatology? I wish that commission should give full compensation for this question to all the aspirants.
On the other hand, statistics is a very vast subject and there is need for special training in this subject.
Commission need to give a specific syllabus of this portion and ought to give clear instructions to the question setters.
Generally, aspirants prepare statistic course up to CL-XII standard but each time, it is found that questions are beyond higher secondary standard.
Yours,
Mains Aspirant
