MLA says govt addressing Siang river issue

PASIGHAT, Nov 13: The state government is taking all necessary measures to deal with the flood and drought-like situation experienced by the people of the Siang belt, Pasighat West MLA Tatung Jamoh said.
He said this on Tuesday while speaking to the media on the sideline of the inauguration of a showroom of the Neni Hyundai at 2 Mile area here in East Siang district.
“Earlier, there were problems in getting information about the activities across the border, but after the meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Chinese counterpart, the Chinese government has started to share information related to weather and the behaviour of the rivers with the government of India and the state government,” Jamoh said.
Also present at the function were Hyundai’s Guwahati region assistant managers Manoj Barman and Bhaskar Kashyap, Neni Hyundai’s managing director Teli Tada Camdir, local leaders of the area, and others.
The new Santro was also launched during the function. The showroom is Hyundai’s 25th rural sales outlet in the NE region.
