LONGDING, Nov 13: The Longding battalion of the Assam Rifles apprehended an NSCN (IM) militant and an over-ground worker (OGW) of the outfit during an operation here on the intervening night of 12 and 13 November.
The operatives have been identified as self-styled private Akham Wangsu and Banchoi Wangpon, the OGW, according a release from the Kohima-based defence PRO.
Incriminating documents, including extortion notes, were recovered from the possession of the duo, the release said.
