NIRJULI, Nov 14: Students exhibited a total of 261 models based on the themes ‘agriculture and organic farming, resource management, waste management, health and cleanliness, mathematical modelling, and transport and communication’ during a Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya organized school-level science exhibition here on Wednesday.
Addressing the students on the occasion, Associate Professor, department of electronics and communication engineering NERIST, Nirjuli, Dr. A Dinamani Singh advised them to cultivate creative thinking and practice and retain originality in thinking.
Retired scientist, BARC, Dr. Ravikant Altekar and Education Officer, VKVs APT,P. M Unnikrishnan were also present on occasion.
A similar district level science exhibition was conducted at VKV Koloriang the same day wherein, students from different schools of the district presented a total of 14 scientific models.
During the event, Chera Chapang, Bamang Baku and Nangram Mama of VKV Koloriang secured first, second and third positions respectively.
