TEZU, Nov 20: The Lohit District Health Society held a meeting here on Tuesday to discuss routine immunization and Mission Indradhanush (MI) in the district.
Addressing the meeting, which was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Karma Leki, DMO Dr S Chai Pul stressed on the need for proper headcount of the missed-out children, if any, to make MI successful in the district.
She also highlighted the PLUS (Precious Lines under Safety) project, which will be implemented by the health & family welfare department in collaboration with the National Health Mission.
“The PLUS project aims to reduce maternal, infant and under-five mortality and protect them from likely health risks,” the DMO said, and enumerated the project’s key features.
DRCHO Dr S Nayil made a PowerPoint presentation on the performance under routine immunization and MI in the district from the second quarter of 2018-’19. He also informed the gathering about the targets under MI. (DIPRO)
