ITANAGAR, NOV 28: The Department of Legal Metrology & Consumer Affairs, Naharlagun has conducted an awareness programme on Consumer Protection at Gyan Ganga Vidyapeet, Naharlagun today.
Assistant Controller K. P. Tago asked the participants to be careful and alert at the time of transaction so that accurate quantity as paid for is delivered.
Demonstrating on food colours, he also advised consumers to be careful while buying edible items from market to remain safe from sub-standard quality.
Inspector Legal Metrology Gamkhong Singpho asked the consumers to accept only with verified weights and measures. He further suggested consumer to keep the habit of reading the mandatory information before buying the products. He also gave various tips of do’s and don’ts in getting delivery of petrol.
Earlier, a similar programme was also conducted at Govt. H. S. School, Polo Colony, Naharlagun.
