ITANAGAR, Dec 5: The department of Legal Metrology & Consumer Affairs conducted an awareness programme on Consumer Protection here at the Kendra Vidyalaya on Wednesday.
Assistant Controller KP Tago informed the students to be careful at the time of purchasing day-to-day requirements so that sellers do not deliver short in quantity or sub-standard products.
Legal Metrology Inspector Gamkhong Singpho briefed on how accuracy of commercial weights and measures are being maintained through periodical verification by the department for the protection of common consumers.
Earlier, similar programmes were conducted at government secondary school, Nirjuli and Kendra Vidyalaya, Naharlagun.
