MOHONG MURA, Dec 13: Students, gaon burahs, anganwadi workers, government officials and others took out a rally at Mohong Mura village in Changlang district on Wednesday as part of an outreach programme on the Swachhta Action Plan (SAP) 2018, organised by the Tezu (Lohit) unit of the field outreach bureau (FOB).
The programme was aimed at creating awareness among students and villagers about cleanliness, and on their obligation towards the Swachh Bharat Mission.
“Cleanliness does not mean only physical cleanliness of surroundings but to achieve its goal, cleanliness of mind is also equally important,” Tezu FOB Head P Sonowal said.
A quiz competition on Swachh Bharat, and a rural sports competition among the students and villagers were the other highlights of the programme.
