DAPORIJO, Dec 18: Altogether 2,895 schemes related to 29 subjects under 18 departments listed in the 11th schedule of the constitution were approved by the Upper Subansiri district planning committee (DPC) during its meeting here on Monday for the approval of the district’s Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) 2019-’20.
DC Danish Ashraf, who chaired the meeting, also suggested several need-based schemes like clean school toilets, development of children’s parks, etc, for incorporating in the future.
Besides the HoDs, BDOs, DRDA officers and others attended the meeting.
In Kra-Daadi district, the DPC approved 1210 schemes for 78 gram panchayats during its meeting at Palin on Tuesday.
Presiding over the meeting, DC S Miji emphasized on prioritizing the need-based schemes, and called for conducting gram sabhas regularly with the frontline functionaries of the line departments.
ADC Millo Kojin informed that gram sabhas were conducted at the GPs of all the six blocks, and that the final GPDP was prepared after including all 28 subjects.
