TAWANG, Dec 19: An in-depth review meeting on the special summary revision (SSR) of the photo electoral roll 2019 was held at the DC’s conference hall here in Tawang district on Wednesday between DC Sang Phuntsok and booth level officers (BLO), designated officers (DOs), booth level agents (BLA) and members of political parties.
Tawang ERO Dochora Lama asked the DOs and the BLOs to verify all the forms properly during revision. He said all the eligible voters are to be enrolled, and asked the BLAs to work in coordination with the BLOs for preparing a clean and error-free electoral roll.
The DC on his part said: “In no way should there be double entry of electors’ names in the electoral roll, but at the same time no eligible voter should be left out. Every Indian citizen who has attained the voting age should have this right.”
He also requested the political parties to appoint BLAs.
The BLOs, DOs and representatives of political parties placed their points and experiences in the meeting.
