Hawks to meet Yorkers in final today

JULLANG, Dec 23: The Kurung Kumey Hawks will meet the Yomgo Yorkers in the final of the Arunachal Pradesh T20 Premier Cricket League at the general ground here on Monday.
The Hawks and the Yorkers entered into the final, beating their opponents Tirap Challengers and the Kamle Sixers by six and eight wicket, respectively.
Batting first, the Tirap Challengers made 133/6 in 20 overs against the Kurung Kumey Hawks. Kale Cheda scored the highest 48 runs in 50 balls.
In reply, the Hawks achieved the target (of 134 runs) with two balls to spare, losing four wickets.
Lalit Gehlot was adjudged man of the match for his 42-ball 54 run knock.
In another semifinal, the Kamle Sixers set the Yomgo Yorkers a moderate 106-run target to win. Oni Dai scored 62 from 56 balls.
The Yorkers achieved the target in 14.5 overs with eight wickets remaining in hand.
Akhilesh Sahani was awarded the ‘man of the match’ title for his match winning 63 run knock.
