SAGALEE, Dec 30: Anganwadi workers (AWW) and helpers (AWH) and functionaries of the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) here in Papum Pare district participated in a project level coordination meeting on 28 December.
Besides project field functionaries, AWWs and AWHs from Leporiang, Parang and Toru circles also attended the meeting.
“The ICDS functionaries, especially the field functionaries, have a vital role in properly shaping the society by disseminating basic and essential education, information and awareness to the children and womenfolk,” Sagalee ADC S Lowang said.
She urged the AWWs and the AWHs to “give full dedication towards their duties and responsibilities.”
CDPO SC Tok elaborated the objectives of the ICDS, and reminded the AWWs and the AWHs of their roles and responsibilities. Tok also outlined the benefits available under various government flagship programmes.
