ITANAGAR, Jan 3: The media community of the state has mourned the demise of Nang Ratna Simith, who passed away at her native Deobil village in Namsai district on Thursday morning after a long battle with cancer.
The deceased was the mother of Nang Shanti Simith, a reporter with the Arunachal Today. Besides Shanti, she leaves behind two sons.
The Arunachal Press Club, the Arunachal Pradesh Union of Working Journalists and the Arunachal Electronic Media Association expressed deep grief at the demise of Nang Ratna Simith, and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul, and for strength to the family members to bear the irreparable loss.
