PASIGHAT, Jan 3: The East Siang district administration on Wednesday declared Ranaghat bridge here a “no parking and no selfie zone.”
Deputy Commissioner Tamiyo Tatak has prohibited parking of all kinds of vehicles, besides gatherings and consumption of alcohol or drugs, on the bridge or near the river’s banks.
He has also directed the highway department to repair and fill up the cracks on the bridge by 10 January.
