APCC lashes out at BJP for ‘encroaching’ on tennis court

ITANAGAR, Jan 5: The Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) has condemned the state BJP for “encroaching on the tennis court of Indira Gandhi Park” here to build its office, and appealed to the people to protect “the lone public utility space in the state capital.”
In a press release, the APCC on Saturday lashed out at state BJP president Tapir Gao, saying his “adopting illegal practice openly is the best example to prove the true colour of the saffron brigade.”
“The tennis court was allotted by the previous Congress government to encourage sports activities. The ruling BJP government led by Chief Minister Pema Khandu through its action proves that it is against promoting games and sports,” the APCC said.
