AALO, Jan 7: The newly extended corridor of the Kargu Gamgi at the Kargu Gamgi Council here was inaugurated by West Siang Deputy Commissioner Swetika Sachan on Monday.
The construction of the structure was funded by the district administration through the planning department.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC stressed on evolving “a uniform thought pattern in creating durable and important assets for the district from any available pool of resources.”
Central Kargu Gamgi Council president Mogi Ori informed that it has become “difficult to manage one of the biggest cultural places as government funding provided to run the centre has dried up and repair and renovations were done through voluntary contributions.”
DFO Abhinav Kumar, DPO M Karga, SRA Hengi Riba and believers of Donyi Polo faith were present at the inauguration. (DIPRO)
