KHARSANG, Jan 9: One ULFA (I) cadre Ram Bahadur Lama (Kaila) was apprehended from Songkhopani village here in Changlang district on Tuesday by the 9 Rajputana Rifles and civil police in a joint operation.
A 9mm Bretta pistol with magazine and 15 rounds, three Chinese-made hand grenades and one remote IED (approx-3 kgs) with detonator were recovered from his possession.
In this connection, a case under Sec.10/13 UA (P) Act-1967 R/w Sec.25 (1-B) (a) Arms Act 1959 and sec 5 Explosive Substances Act-1908 has been registered against the ULFA (I) cadre. (DIPRO)
