TEZU, Jan 16: Papum Pare crushed Capital Complex 2-0 in the final of the girls’ football tournament for the state level Hangpan Dada Memorial Trophy (HDMT) here at the Jubilee Ground on Wednesday.
First goal for Papum Pare was scored by Nabam Kamyi in 27th minute. Babylon Boriya scored the second goal for the winning team at 51st minute.
In girls’ volleyball semi-finals, Capital Complex defeated Kamle (25/15, 25/12, 25/13) in the first match. In the second match, Kurung Kumey beat Papum Pare (25/17,25/21,25/11).
In boys’ volleyball semi-finals, Capital Complex beat Anjaw (25/19, 25/20, 25/18), while Kamle defeated Kra-Daadi (25/22,25/15,25/18).
Capital Complex girls’ will take on Kurung Kumey, while Capital Complex boys’ team will face Kamle in volleyball final matches.
In boys’ football final, Upper Subansiri will face West Siang.
Both boys’ and girls’ volleyball finals and boys’ football final will be played on 17 January.
