RONO HILLS, Jan 19: LABA FC (LABAFC) defeated Itanagar United FC (IUFC) by 5-2 goals in the 13th match of the 6th state level Veteran Football Tournament (VFT) at the soccer field here on Saturday.
Prakash Boro of LABAFC scored a hat-trick of goals, and Dipu Bora and Epan Basumatary scored the remaining two goals for the team. The two scorers for IUFC were Gyamar Vijoy and Tony Salam.
In the second match of the day, East Kameng Sporting Club (EKSC) defeated PAPA Sporting Club (PAPASC) by 3-2 goals.
Sonam Bagang scored two goals for the EKSC while Brucelee Tallang scored the third goal. The scorers for PAPASC were Gyamar Punnung and Tadar Joy.
