ITANAGAR, Jan 19: The mother of the six-year-old who was allegedly molested by a warden in Ramakrishna Mission School (RKMS) in Narottam Nagar in Tirap district in September last year has sought a fact-finding committee to investigate the case.
In a memorandum to the Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (APSCPCR), the mother demanded that the commission direct school authorities to ensure safety and security of children in all the schools of the state.
She also sought action, “as deemed fit by the APSCPCR,” in the case.
Copies of the memorandum were submitted to the offices of the chief minister, the governor, and the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights.
Talking to this reporter, the mother said her son has lost a year of education and has been left scarred for life because of what happened at the RKMS hostel.
The hostel warden, identified as Subir Sanyal, remains in jail.
