NEW DELHI, Jan 21: Block Education Officer (BEO) Obang Langkam, working under the Lower Dibang Valley (LDV) DDSE, was recently conferred with the National Award for Innovation in Educational Administration by the National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA).
Langkam has been awarded in recognition of his concept paper titled ‘Academic Action Plan’, the proposals under which are being successfully implemented in the schools across the district since 2014.
The felicitation ceremony held here was attended by union HRD Minister Prakash Javedkar along with a host of other national level functionaries from the NIEPA and the HRD ministry.
Meanwhile, LDV DDSE Ego Doye termed the BEO’s achievement “a great moment of pride for the district education department.”
“It is hoped that such national level recognition of a district level officer will go a long way in boosting the morale of education officers working in remote pockets of the state. Hopefully, it will act as a catalyst and a motivating factor propelling them to work harder with full sincerity and dedication,” said Doye. (DIPRO)
