LONGDING, Jan 22: The team of 20 school students from Longding district which had gone on a national integration tour to Mumbai and Pune in Maharashtra on 10 January returned here on Tuesday.
The tour was organised by the Longding battalion of the Indian Arm. The team, comprising 10 boys, 10 girls and two teachers, was selected from different schools of Longding district.
The 12-day tour was conducted with the aim of connecting youths of the Northeast with other parts of country, and to give the students of the district an exposure to the diversity of India.
The tour was flagged in by Dao Division GOC Maj Gen Rajendra Sachdev. He interacted with the children, who shared numerous stories of their experiences.
