ZIRO, Feb 6: State Election Commissioner Hage Kojeen called upon the district authorities of Lower Subansiri to work out action plan to be implemented till 2 October by involving CBOs, NGOs, PRIs, GBs, students, health workers, anganwadis, public sector undertakings working in the district and media, for proper implementation of the Swachhta Abhiyan.
Kojeen, who is also the governor’s nominee as a Swachhta Prerek said this while addressing a coordination-cum-review meeting held at the office of the Lower Subansiri DC here on Wednesday, to take stock of the implementation status of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in the district.
The meeting was attended by all heads of departments, including the two nodal departments of PHE & WS Division and Urban & Housing, Ziro.
Kojeen also emphasized the need to inculcate behavioural and attitudinal changes through awareness campaign on personal hygiene and environmental hygiene.
Earlier, Deputy Commissioner Chuku Takar highlighted the status of the Swachh Bharat Mission in the district, which was followed by a presentation by PHE & WS Executive Engineer Kago Habung and UD & Housing Assistant Engineer Toko Yami.
It was also decided in the meeting to organize social service campaigns intensively at various vulnerable locations during the last week of February 2019 to clean up the entire surroundings of Ziro plateau, including villagers by involving all concerned.
