ITANAGAR, Feb 14: The Karate Association of India (KAI) has appointed S Deben Sharma as the national coach and Bulang Marik as a member of the KAI’s Referee Commission of KAI for four years.
Both Sharma and Marik have been appointed to their respective posts considering their merit and vast experience gained during their more than 30 years of active involvement in the field of karate.
M Bankim Singh from Manipur has also been appointed as a member the KAI’s Referee Commission.
Marik (who is an inspector in the Arunachal Pradesh Police) and Singh are the first two persons from the Northeast to be appointed as KAI’s Referee Commission members.
