AALO, Feb 28: West Siang DC Swetika Sachan has under Section 133 CrPC banned housie, lotteries, and other gambling activities in the district.
The order comes in view of reports that individuals as well as NGOs are involved in selling lottery and housie tickets, and that people illegally play housie on their mobile phones in every nook and corner of the town.
Such activities are prohibited under the Arunachal Pradesh Gambling (Prohibition) Act, 2012. (DIPRO)
