Villagers benefit from SAD camps

LOILANG, Feb 28: The villagers of Loilang, Mekailang, Pomliang, Lohitpur and Khoraliang benefitted from the Sarkar Aapke Dwar (SAD) camp organized here by the Lohit district administration on Thursday.
Agriculture Minister Dr Mohesh Chai, who attended the camp, also inaugurated the multipurpose hall here, constructed by the WRD department under the 2016-17 SIDF.
Dr Chai informed the people that four multipurpose halls have been sanctioned in the district under the 2016-17 SIDF.
“Out of these, the multipurpose halls in Danglat, Yealiang and Loilang have been completed, and the one in Tafragam is going to be completed very soon,” he said.
“Loilang village has been selected as a nodal village and developmental activities have already started with the first installment received,” Dr Chai said.
He said that in Arunachal Pradesh Loilang and Dambuk have been selected as “model cultural villages.”
Informing that a health camp will be organised at the district hospital in Tezu from 3 March, the minister urged the people to avail the medical services.
In Upper Siang district, 332 villagers benefitted from the SAD camp organised at Simong village on Thursday.
DC Karma Leki inaugurated the camp, and distributed umbrellas among the gaon burahs. (DIPROs)
