Workshop for media persons held

ITANAGAR, Mar 18: A workshop was conducted for the state media persons to update them on various facets of electioneering process at the Chief Election Office’s conference hall here on Monday which saw the participation of representatives of both print and electronic media.
Speaking as resource person, senior journalist and editor Arunachal Observer, Pradeep Kumar Behera highlighted the role of the media during the simultaneous elections in the state. He urged all the media persons to act responsibly while filing news reports on elections. He also explained various clauses of the notifications issued by the ECI and later answered to queries raised by the participants.
State nodal officer (MCMC) Lod Takkar explained in detail the different clauses of MCMC through a power-point presentation and requested the media persons to maintain restraint while reporting on election-related issues.
He further urged them to cooperate with the CEO for smooth conduct of the ensuing elections.
