TAWANG, Apr 5: The general observer (GO) for Tawang district, Vijayendra Kumar, on Friday held a meeting here with all 39 micro observers from various central government organisations appointed for the coming elections in the district.
Kumar briefed the micro observers on their roles and duties, and asked them to ensure fair, error-free and smooth conduct of elections.
Tawang DC Sang Phuntsok, who was also present, said the micro observers should supervise and monitor the activities of the polling teams at the polling stations and submit reports to the GO.
The micro observers were later given hands-on training on handling EVMs by DLMTs Tashi Wangchu Thongdok and MK Das. (DIPRO)
