‘Congress has vision and agenda for Arunachal’

NAHARLAGUN, Apr 7: Bollywood actor Asrani, the star campaigner of the Congress party, on Sunday said the grand old party has a vision and an agenda for the development of Arunachal Pradesh, and is making its best efforts.
Speaking to media persons at the helipad here, Asrani said, “I have been visiting several parts of the state on the campaign trail for the Congress, at the invitation of former chief minister Nabam Tuki and APCC president Takam Sanjoy.”
He said the people are still waiting for the BJP to fulfill its promises in the state and in other parts of country.
“People want real development, not the advertisements. We hope that the general public, especially the youths, will vote for development. Being a frontier state of the country, Arunachal needs special attention from the Centre,” Asrani said.
He appealed to the state’s people, particularly the youths, to maintain their tribal identity, work for preservation and protection of their rich cultural heritage, and also for peace, progress and development of the state.
